
Honourable Haritatos was born on 8 April 1986, at Redcliffe medical
center. He married and has 3 kids. He did his primary school education at
Eiffel Flats Primary School in Kadoma, Zimbabwe and went to James High school
in Kadoma, Zimbabwe and went to Jameson High School in Kadoma before completing
his studies at Harare International School.
Honourable
Haritatos enrolled at John Cabot University in Rome, Italy where he majored in
international Affairs and International Economics, whilst doing a joint
programme with the University of Wales.
He then
moved to Kansas State University where he completed two degrees with honors, a
Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Bachelor of Science in
Economics.
During that
period, Honourable Haritatos also studied Business Administration, graduating
from that university in 2007, before returning to Zimbabwe.
Honourable
Haritatos has been a member of Parliament for Muzvezve Constituency since 2018.
He was appointed the Deputy Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water
and rural development in September 2018 which he holds to this day. His
portfolios include Crops, Water, Irrigation Development, Mechanisation and Soil
Conservation and Youth. He also oversees key parastatals such as Grain
Marketing Board (GMB), Silo Foods Limited (SFL), Zimbabwe National Water
Authority (ZINWA), Tobacco Industry Marketing and Agriculture Rural Development
Authority (ARDA).
